ReMed

ReMed is a support network for physicians in Switzerland. Its ultimate aim is to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical services.

The health of the physician is at the centre of what ReMed does.

This requires an analysis and discussion of the occupational risks and of the possibilities relating to health promotion and risk prevention. ReMed sees itself a service provider for all physicians.

As such, it assists in the search for solutions and makes relevant information available on the Internet. If stress situations or difficulties should emerge, then the physicians concerned can turn to ReMed and its services and receive timely support. These services are tailored to individual requirements. At ReMed, any physician seeking advice or help will enjoy the same rights as patients.

The ReMed service contains three basic elements:

      • Mentoring – empowerment
      • Coaching – support facilities
      • Assessment – intervention
ReMed can be contacted via the Helpline 0800-0-REMED (0800-0-73633), via the cantonal or national liaison person, by e-mail info@swiss-remed.ch and via its website www.swiss-remed.ch.

The philosophy at ReMed is based on a physician's own self-responsibility. The Physicians Charter includes a declaration of self-commitment whereby physicians are called on to show one another respect, to take part in the self-monitoring process and to support those colleagues who no longer appear to be meeting professional requirements.
